Job Title: Research Assistant/Associate in Civil Engineering (Concrete Materials or Structural Engineering)
We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for the position of Research Assistant/Associate in the field of Civil Engineering, with a focus on either Concrete Materials or Structural Engineering. Candidates must have a master’s degree in a related field with expertise in numerical simulation techniques, such as finite element analysis. Proficiency in at least one programming language such as MATLAB, Python, or C++ is required.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct research in Civil Engineering, with a specific focus on Concrete Materials/Structural Engineering.
2. Utilize numerical simulation techniques, particularly finite element analysis, to investigate and analyze complex engineering problems.
3. Develop and implement algorithms and codes in relevant programming languages to support research activities.
4. Collaborate with the research team to design experiments, collect and analyze data, and contribute to the publication of SCI-indexed papers.
5. Stay updated on the latest advancements in the field and incorporate innovative approaches into research projects.
Requirements:
1. master’s degree in civil engineering with a specialization in Concrete Materials or Structural Engineering.
2. Proficiency in numerical simulation techniques, especially finite element analysis.
3. Strong programming skills in at least one of the following languages: MATLAB, Python, or C++.
4. Ability to independently conduct research and contribute to the development of research projects.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality SCI-indexed papers.
6. Contract start date: Post-Lunar New Year 2024.
7. Salary: Competitive and negotiable, ranging from 18,000 HKD to 25,000 HKD per month.
8. Contract duration: To be negotiated.
